Majerchin, Thomas A. - Obituary



STREATOR -  Thomas A. Majerchin, 64, of Streator, died at 9:18 a.m. Sunday, April 19, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Stephen's Church, Streator. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Solon, Baker & Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Burial will be in St. Stephen?s Cemetery, Streator. Full military honors will be accorded at the cemetery.
Born June 23, 1944, in Streator, he was the son of Andrew and Frances (Siroky) Majerchin.
He is survived by a sister, Suzanne Majerchin of Streator; a brother, Andrew "Andy" (Janis) Majerchin of Streator; nieces, Leeann (William "Bill") Morgan and Amy (Eric) Smith, both of Streator, and Jessica "Jessie" (Jonas) Hirschman of Fort Hood, Texas; and three great-nephews and four great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lawrence Majerchin.
Born and raised in Streator, he attended St. Stephen's Grade School and graduated from Streator Township High School, class of 1962.
He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He formerly worked at Thatcher's Glass Company.
He was a member of St. Stephen's Church and a pigeon racing club in Streator.
Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor?s choice.
